ATR120 Electronic Time Clock — 2009 Daylight Saving Time (DST) Quick G
The ATR120 Electronic Time Clock requires the start and end dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) to be programmed each year. After the start of 2009, both the DST start and DST end dates must be set for the clock to automatically adjust time on the correct dates.
If either the start date or the end date is not programmed, automatic Daylight Saving Time adjustment will not occur.
General Programming Information
To place the ATR120 into program mode, move the program switch located on the back of the clock (upper left corner) from NOR to PRO (top position). This activates the six manual card-positioning switches on the top of the clock to function as programming controls.
With the dust cover open, the program switches are numbered 1 through 6:
- IN1 (Button 1) — Feature selection switch used to advance through program options
- OUT1 through IN3 (Buttons 2–5) — Used to enter and modify program values
- OUT3 (Button 6) — Saves the selected program values to memory
Important: If OUT3 is flashing in the lower-right corner of the display, the changes have not been saved.
Setting Daylight Saving Time Dates for 2009
- Set the rear program switch to the PRO position. The display will show the current pay period.
- Press IN1 (Button 1) three times. The display will read S1 0–0, where S1 indicates the DST start date.
- Press OUT2 (Button 4) as needed to set the month to 3 (March).
- Press IN3 (Button 5) to set the day to 8.
- Press OUT3 (Button 6) to save the DST start date. The OUT3 indicator will disappear, confirming the setting is saved.
The clock will automatically advance to the DST end date programming screen. The display will read S2 0–0.
- Press OUT2 (Button 4) as needed to set the month to 11 (November).
- Press IN3 (Button 5) to set the day to 1.

- Return the rear program switch to the NOR position.
Setting the Analog Clock Dial
The DST programming described above automatically adjusts the digital display and the printer. The analog clock dial does not adjust automatically and must be reset manually when the time changes.
To set the analog time, the front cover of the clock must be opened.
