Rapidprint and Widmer Year Bands

Rapidprint year bands, also referred to as year wheels, control the year portion of the date impression on Rapidprint date and time stamps. When a year band reaches the end of its range, the stamp can no longer produce accurate dates, which may affect documents, time cards, and other records that rely on clear date verification.

If your Rapidprint year band has expired, the stamp does not need to be discarded. The existing band can be replaced with a new, solid brass four-digit Rapidprint year wheel. Factory-original parts are used, with no substitutions and no reused components, restoring proper date function and extending the usable life of the machine.

During the year band replacement process, the stamping mechanism is cleaned, tested, and adjusted. Ribbon feed tension and impression depth are set to produce even, legible prints. Addressing these items together helps prevent uneven impressions and reduces the likelihood of repeat service.

Additional mechanical repairs can be performed at the same time if wear or alignment issues are identified. Completing related adjustments during a single service cycle minimizes downtime and avoids repeated shipping.
