HandPunch 1000 Biometric Time Clock Guide

The HandPunch 1000 is a hand geometry biometric time clock designed to prevent buddy punching and improve payroll accuracy. It starts at 50 users and can be upgraded to 512, making it suitable for growing organizations. The unit connects via RS232 direct cable to a computer-based attendance system, with optional modem support for remote locations.

How It Works

During enrollment, three digital hand scans are captured and averaged into a secure mathematical template stored in the device. No hand image is retained.

  • First punch of the day registers as IN.
  • Punches alternate logically (Out, In, Out).
  • Duplicate punches within the same minute are rejected.

Software and Integration

Employees are enrolled at the terminal and then assigned in the software before polling data. The system stores punch history and exports to payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, and QuickBooks. It supports multiple readers on a Local Area Network.

The HandPunch 1000 remains a reliable solution for organizations seeking secure, structured time and attendance control.
